My Toddler's Reading Corner

That last detail of Jackson's room transformation is complete :)

We removed the rocking chair from his room and put it out in the living room until it can be put in the nursey. What I didn't want, was Jax to feel like we were taking it away from him and giving it to the new baby. So we decided to remove it early.

In it's place.... is his new reading corner! And I have to say that he loves it! The soft suedo shag rug was from walmart ($19.99) and the body pillow cover was $5. I had a body pillow stored in my closet that I used while I pregnant with him, but don't want to use it this pregnancy.

That smile is its own reward

And the two orange pillows I made from scratch. I had a bunch of orange fleece left over from an older project and I used the left over checkered orange fabric from the windows/bedskirt for the back of the pillows. Then I used scraps of various textured fabrics to embellish the pillow, even sewed on a few buttons. This was the first time I ever did patchwork with his name. Turned out better than I thought it would.

Now his room is DONE!
